My life is a beautiful story. It starts in Mumbai, with my parents, who came to America in the 70s and built a whole new life from scratch.

I grew up with three generations under one roof, and I didn’t realize what a gift that was until much later. As a kid in New Jersey, I always felt a little different, because I was. I just didn’t know how to celebrate it yet.

I’m convinced the 90s were the best time ever to just be a kid. Then the internet came along, and everything changed.

For a long time, not having a blueprint was scary. Then I had my girls, and seeing the world through their eyes changed everything.

And look at the world now. Since 2020 it’s been one shift after another, and with AI, things are changing so fast. Nobody has a map anymore.

Along the way, I’ve learned we don’t need a map to know where we’re going. When you’re creating the life of your dreams, there’s no roadmap. You can do anything!

When I joined ActionButton in 2017, I was inspired by a simple idea: anyone, anywhere, can take action on the issues that matter to them. Every action counts, whether it's showing kindness, helping someone in need, or sharing your resources with a nonprofit doing the work on the ground, all over the world.

I didn't choose NationBuilder. I'd never even heard of it. Then I heard the founding story of Jim Gilliam, NationBuilder's founder. I watched his talk and read his book, The Internet Is My Religion, and I really started to believe in the mission. Jim used the power of the internet, and the people it connected him to, to save his own life. The premise is beautiful, and anything built with integrity really has a shot.

Today I'm the last one from the ActionButton team still here. It took resilience, and along the way I found a home and a community. I'm grateful to still be here, doing work that fulfills me, and proud of what we're building.

Every day I get to work toward NationBuilder's vision of a more connected humanity: putting the tools of leadership in everyone's hands. That's when my name started to feel less like a name and more like a mission, and more achievable than ever before.

I've worked across advertising and tech, and now I'm bringing all of it into the future.

My girls are young, and they need a lot. My goal is to give them love, and a foundation strong enough that they know they can do anything in this world. Becoming a mother is also what made the state of the world personal. I want to help build a better future for them.

I cook because feeding people is how I love them, and I travel to remember how big and generous the world is.

I finally exhale when they're in bed, and I know we made it through another day, together.
